  • 1 cup sesame seed whole, dried
  • 2 tbsp olive oil extra virgin


  • You can toast the raw sesame seeds for a nuttier flavor.
  • In a skillet over medium heat toast until lightly colored and fragrant - 5 minutes or in an oven at 350 degrees.
  • Let seeds completely cool.
  • Place in a food processor.
  • Grind the seeds about 2-3 minutes until a crumbly paste. 
  • Add oil and process another 1-2 minutes until a thick paste.
  • Add more oil if needed.
  • Store in refrigerator up to a month or longer.
