Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil extra virgin (try garlic flavored)
  • 36 oz fresh sardines
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

PREPARATION

  • Preheat broiler on high. Brush the boiler rack with some of the olive oil.
  • Clean the sardines, removing scales, head, guts and backbone.
  • Brush the sardines with oil and arrange on the broiler rack.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.

BROIL

  • Broil about 4 inches from the heat for about 3 minutes.
  • Turn the sardines over, brush with oil and broil another 2-3 minutes.
